What a blockchain actually is

A blockchain is a shared list that says who owns what. Thousands of computers keep an identical copy and check every new addition against everyone else.

An address is a place on that list, a long string like 0x7a3F…9c1D. Whoever holds the key that controls an address is the only one who can move what's sitting there.

A transaction is an instruction: move this much, from this address, to that address. Once it goes through, it sits there permanently. There is no undo button.

Getting a wallet and paying gas

A wallet holds your keys and approves transactions. MetaMask and Rabby cover most people. Anything that supports WalletConnect works too.

Every action on Delta costs a small amount of gas, paid in ETH on Robinhood Chain (chain id 4663). Keep a bit of ETH sitting in your wallet before you do anything else.

Getting money onto Robinhood Chain

Bridge or withdraw ETH onto Robinhood Chain first. Then you can swap into the token you want to LP, or deposit ETH directly into a stake and let Delta build the position.

Why you approve tokens

An approval lets a contract move a token on your behalf for a specific purpose, like depositing into a pool. Delta never asks for a seed phrase. If something asks, it isn't Delta.

How trading and LPing work onchain

LPing means depositing tokens into a pool so other people have something to trade against. Every swap pays a fee, and liquidity providers split it, sized to what they put in.
